Fields marked with an asterisk are required to handle your request; without them we cannot respond to it.

Technical Data

Our website platform receives your device’s IP address and browser details with every page request, to deliver the website, keep it secure and produce visit statistics, and it may derive the country you are browsing from. We use this data in aggregated, statistical form, not to identify you. The next section explains how we measure visits.

We do not ask for sensitive personal data, such as health or credit data or information about your beliefs, through this website. Please do not include it in your messages or in documents you share with us.

When you submit any form on this website, we send you one automatic email confirming that we received your request or subscription, or carrying the report link. We send nothing further unless it concerns the matter you wrote to us about, or, if you subscribed, our newsletter.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small text files that your browser stores on your device. Other technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, work in a similar way.

This website is hosted with a specialist hosting provider. We use a web analytics service to measure visits to the website, alongside the visit statistics built into our website platform. Before you consent, it runs in Consent Mode, without cookies and without storing any identifier on your device, and we receive only aggregated statistics that do not identify you. When you choose “Accept” in the cookie message, the service’s analytics cookies are enabled; you can withdraw at any time as described under “Managing Your Choice” below. We also use an advertising measurement tag from a professional network to measure visits that come from that network and to build an audience we may later reach with ads on it. The tag does not run, and its advertising cookies are not set, unless you choose “Accept” in the cookie message; you can withdraw at any time as described under “Managing Your Choice” below. The network concerned processes the data the tag collects under its own privacy policy. We use no other advertising cookies, and we do not sell your data.

  • Essential: needed to run and secure the website, including saving your cookie choice in your browser’s local storage so we do not ask again. They do not require your consent.

  • Visit statistics: we measure how the website is used with the analytics built into our website platform. For each page you view, it records the page address, the referring page, and your browser language and time zone, without cookies or identifiers stored on your device. We see the results only as aggregated statistics, and the tool runs regardless of your choice in the cookie message. After your consent, web analytics data is added to these.

  • Optional analytics: The optional analytics and advertising cookies, from the web analytics service and the advertising measurement tag, are set only after you choose “Accept”. If we later add other tools that rely on cookies, we will update this policy before adding them.

Managing Your Choice

A cookie message appears on your first visit, and your choice is stored in your browser on your device so we do not ask again. You can change it at any time by clearing cookies and site data in your browser settings, and the message will appear again on your next visit.

You can also set your browser to refuse cookies altogether, although some parts of the website may then not work as intended.

How We Use Your Data

We use your data only to:

  • Respond to your inquiry or partnership proposal, follow up on your request and contact you about the project or partnership you described.

  • Review and assess job applications, and communicate with candidates throughout the selection process.

  • Send you AZM X Articles and related insights by email when you subscribe, until you unsubscribe.

  • Send you the report you requested, and confirm what you send us through the website’s forms with one automatic email.

  • Run the website and protect it from misuse.

  • Understand, in aggregated form, how the website is used so we can improve its content and experience.

  • Meet our legal obligations and respond to requests from competent authorities.

We do not sell your personal data. We send our newsletter and any other marketing messages only to people who have subscribed or given explicit consent, and every message includes a way to unsubscribe.

Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data in line with the Personal Data Protection Law of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its implementing regulations, on one of the following bases:

  • Your consent: when you submit any form on this website after reading the notice shown with it, or when you subscribe to our newsletter.

  • Agreement: when processing is needed to perform an agreement you are party to, or to take steps you request before entering one, such as preparing a proposal for your project.

  • Legal requirements: when a law requires us to process or keep certain data.

  • Legitimate interest: to run and protect the website and to measure its use in aggregated form so we can improve it, without prejudice to your rights and interests and never involving sensitive data.

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing it does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before then.

Sharing Your Data

We share your personal data only to the extent needed for the purposes set out in this policy, and only with:

  • Service providers: that process data on our behalf: our website hosting provider, which hosts the website, delivers its files, measures visits and receives form submissions; a mailing services provider, which holds our contact records and a record of every form we receive, and sends the automatic emails and the newsletter; and a technology services provider, which holds the newsletter sign-up log, runs our email, and measures visits to the website after your consent. We bind them by contract to protect the data and to use it for no other purpose.

  • Professional advisors: such as legal advisors and auditors, within the limits their work requires and subject to their duty of confidentiality.

  • Competent authorities: government or judicial, when a law or an order they issue requires it.

Transfers Outside the Kingdom

The service providers named above process visit data and the content of what you submit through the forms on servers outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: our hosting provider serves the website from data centres in the European Union, our contact and newsletter records are held by our mailing services provider in the European Union, and our technology services provider processes data in its data centres around the world. We transfer data only under the controls set by the Personal Data Protection Law and the Regulation on Personal Data Transfer Outside the Kingdom, in a way that ensures an adequate level of protection, and we limit it to the minimum the purpose requires.

How Long We Keep Data

We keep personal data only as long as the purpose it was collected for requires, then destroy it or anonymize it, unless a law requires us to keep it longer. As a general rule:

  • Inquiries and partnership proposals: for as long as we are in contact about your request or proposal, then no more than 24 months after our last contact.

  • Job applications: no more than 12 months from the date you apply, unless you agree that we keep them longer for future opportunities.

  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep your email address only on a suppression record, so that we never email you again, and for no other purpose.

  • Report downloads: no more than 24 months from the date of your request.

  • Newsletter sign-up log: no more than 24 months from the date you subscribed.

  • Technical data: kept in aggregated, statistical form that does not identify individuals.

Your Rights

The Personal Data Protection Law gives you the following rights:

  • Right to be informed: to know how and why we collect and process your data, as this policy explains.

  • Right of access: to see the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy in a clear format.

  • Right to correction: to ask us to correct, complete or update your data.

  • Right to destruction: to ask us to destroy your data once it is no longer needed, unless a law requires us to keep it.

  • Right to withdraw consent: to withdraw your consent to processing at any time.

How to Exercise Your Rights

Email your request to the address in the Contact Us section below and tell us which right you want to exercise. To protect your data, we may ask for additional information to verify your identity before acting on your request. We respond within 30 days of receiving your request, and if we need more time, we will let you know and explain why.

If you believe our processing of your data breaches the law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent authority, the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA).

Data Security

We apply appropriate organizational and technical measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration or disclosure. These include encrypted connections to the website and limiting access to the team members who need the data for their work.

No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure. If an incident affects your data, we will act on it promptly and notify the competent authority and the affected individuals, as the law requires.

Children’s Privacy

This website is intended for organizations and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you become aware that a minor has sent us their data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our services or to legal requirements. We publish the updated version on this page with a new “Last updated” date at the top, and we flag significant changes clearly on the website.
